As there is a morning for every night, there exists a spring for every winter. Days come one after another, winter leaves its place to spring. When we look at the world in the season of spring, we live together the excitement of the recreation by Allah’s Mercy. We see the tracks of love on the face of the rising sun in the spring. Ices dissolve, snow melts into water and water evaporates to steam. Then, water molecules turns into drops again and descend onto the earth as a mercy. Dried trunks of the trees come to life by the rainfall of the spring. The trees, which became like dry bones are adorned with leaves. The seeds dropping into the soil come on the scene for the purpose of starting a new life. The plants bloom in colors and spread fragrant breath.
Allah (s.w.t.) has expressed for us that this revival on the earth should remind us our resurrection by decreeing in a verse as follows: “And it is He who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, we drive it to a land that is dead, then we cause water (rain) to descend thereon. Then we produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, we shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed”1
To be ready for resurrection and akhirat, which is the real homeland for human beings is the most important matter. So,

how ready are we for the homeland of happiness that the Quran has described in the best way for us? In this season, when the mercy of Our Lord (s.w.t.) comes abundantly, we should not forget that it is very easy to go back to Allah (s.w.t.) for the things which shall return to Him. While the mercy coming down and doors of sky are opened, the prayers and invocations from the earth, from us should rise up to Allah (s.w.t.) as well. We should demand the real ones of these delicious blessings in akhirat that Allah (s.w.t.) has given us them as samples to taste. And we should renew ourselves as the nature renews itself by spring.
Dear Brothers and Sisters!
We know that we are in a test and all our deeds are recorded by two angels like being recorded with a camera. We also know that all our deeds will be brought in front of us some day. Thus let’s avoid the deeds that we will be regretful being ashamed in front of Allah on the day when the righteousness and badness appear. Let’s try to live according to Allah’s pleasure and to meet Allah (s.w.t.) as a good worshiper. I am finishing my khutba with the meaning of a verse: “Look then at the effects (results) of Allah’s Mercy: how He revives the earth after its death. Verily, that (Allah) shall indeed raise the dead and He is able to do all things.”2
