Dr. Reem’s Arabic Class~Begginers Intensive Course
Arabic is one of the official languages of the United Nations, is the official language of 23 countries, and is the common language of Muslim intellectuals worldwide. Moreover, Arabic calligraphy has been recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. We will hold a short-term intensive course for those who want to learn such beautiful Arabic from the beginning.
In addition to printing, we will use illustrations and picture books to make clearly understandable the lessons. Let’s enjoy learning Arabic together.
Schedule: Starts November 19, every Saturday, total of 10 classes
Nov. 19, Dec. 3, Dec. 17 – 13:00~16:30 (90 min. class, 30 min. break)
Nov. 26, Dec. 10 – 15:15~18:30 (90 min. class, 15 min. break)
Place: Annex B1F, Ertugrul Hall
* Depending on the circumstances, such as events and ceremonies, we may ask you to move the classroom within Tokyo Camii.
* If a class is canceled due to the circumstances, a make-up class will be held on another day.
* If you are in a distant place or want to avoid outings, you can take the course online (Zoom).
Instructor: Reem Ahmad (Ph.D.)
Lecturer at Takushoku University. Obtained master and a doctoral degree from Sophia University (Global Studies – Area Studies). Having experienced as a lecturer at Cairo University (Egypt/On leave) and an Arabic instructor at the Egyptian Embassy in Japan, Aoyama NHK Culture Center.

2011-2017: The Open University of Japan “Introductory Arabic”
Eligibility for Participation: Your gender, nationality, and religion do not matter as long as you can understand the lessons in Japanese. Parents and children can also participate from the first grade of elementary school and above.
Tuition fee: 18,000 yen
(Half price for 17 years old and under)
