Friday Khutba of Tokyo Camii “We Call The World To Peace And Moderatıon”
Honorable Muslims!
In the verse I have recited, our Lord Almighty (swt) states, “O believers! Enter into Islam wholeheartedly and do not follow Satan’s footsteps. Surely he is your sworn enemy.”1
According to the hadith I have read, our Prophet (saw) would pray to Allah the Almighty at the end of the prayers he performed as follows: “O Allah! You are al-Salam, from You is all peace. O Possessor of majesty and honor! Blessed are You.”2
Dear Muslims!
A Muslim never tolerates oppression. They never support the oppressor. They do not remain insensitive to difficulties and suffering. They do not contribute even a single cent to those who support the bullets fired at the innocent and the bombs dropped on the oppressed.
Dear Believers!
The Zionist oppressors, who want to turn our world into a place of fire, are raining bombs on Palestinian innocents, babies and women, first in Gaza and now in Rafah, where they forced them to migrate. Human rights are being burnt in the fire of oppression in the city of Rafah, which means “peace and prosperity”. Babies and children who cannot have enough of the scent of their mothers, and mothers who cannot get enough of the scent of their babies and children are being martyred. It is not just a city or a piece of land, but the dignity of humanity that is being violated in Gaza and Rafah in front of the eyes of the world. The inviolability of life, of property and of honor is being trampled underfoot. Even the provision of humanitarian assistance to the oppressed is being blocked. However, the oppression continues not only in Gaza and Rafah, but unfortunately in many parts of the world, especially in East Turkestan.
Dear Believers!
The murderers and their allies who spew death in Islamic lands with the rhetoric of “We will bring peace and democracy to the world” draw their power from the silence of the ‘ummah of Muhammad (saw). It is a pity that the fragmentation of the ‘ummah increases the recklessness of the oppressors day by day. Our world is in dire need of peace and moderation now more than ever. The path to achieving this goal lies in the solidarity of Muslims and the deepening of the bonds of brotherhood among them.
Dear Muslims!
Let us persevere in fulfilling our duties and responsibilities during this challenging and tumultuous period. Let us heed the commandment of Allah, وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللّٰهِ جَم۪يعاً وَلَا تَفَرَّقُواۖ “Hold firmly together to the rope of Allah and do not be divided.”3 Let us be one heart and one voice against oppression. Let us keep our affection and brotherhood alive against the raving networks of murder. Let us persist in providing both material and moral support to our brothers and sisters. Let us remember that Allah (swt) but Allah will certainly perfect His light, and peace will prevail on earth.
